For those thinking of Loki's staff, it remains unconfirmed as to whether it's an Infinity Gem/Stone or not. When asked Kevin Faige stated:

"Well, it’s certainly pure speculation at this point. I’m not even sure if we even recognize Loki’s scepter [as an Infinity Stone], but that’s a big hint as to what will be causing them trouble in the next movie."

It seems more likely that the staff was powered by the Tesseract, which was of course one of the Infinity Stones.

Considering we've had three stones revealed for sure, it would probably make sense for Marvel to keep the next three back for Phase 3, but that's also just speculation.

Having said that, it would also make some sense for Loki's staff to have been one of the stone's as well.

There's a little clip at the end of Avengers age of ultron that shown Thanos putting on the infinity gauntlets saying ... "It's time" or something like that. So we can pretty much guess whats coming next.
