This is definitely worth making. I have never seen a recipe where they prepare the chicken this way rather than just drop it in the pot. This way it seems like the chicken would be more flavorful. Love the dumplings. I don't cook as much as I use to, but I'm going to gift someone with his book. I'm going to make this dish and hopefully what I don't eat will freeze well.
