This year is my year to have my style I've forgone for many years chasing the "in" style. Don't care anymore if everyone hates it as long as I love it. Give me my pastels, velvet drapes, flowers galore, vintage art galleries, old family photo's and dare I say it wallpaper! Gasp lol doing one wall in both my living room and bedroom. Love your sense of humor! We moved into a house that featured many trend relics of the past including bright turquoise millwork, sponge painting and various outdated wallpapers. Six coats of primer and paint were required to kill that turquoise. I still have flashbacks, as we lacked the funds to hire a team of painters, so if you decide on color-drenching, start saving your money for when the color goes out of style, or be prepared for weeks of labor.

YESSSS. Everyone was saying MCM was out, but MCM will never die. I may be leaning more toward maximalist decor nowadays, but my furniture preferences will be MCM forever.

I love the last one, a mix of styles! My bed room is straight French providential. I need my bed room straight white, no color, because color in the bed room stresses me out for some reason. The rest of my house is more modern traditional/frence with an art deco flare.
