Why hello! Today I am sharing design trends that I am excited about for 2024. Trends are extremely fun and I'm somebody who's always changed my space weekly (since i was crawling, of course) so incorporating trends into the mix makes it exciting! I would say to reference the big publications for the actual trends but these are the ones I'm pretty excited about!

Hello Drew, Im a 71 years young lady, who loves your channel. I have always loved the crafted, curated, and collected home. My style from the time I started my own home, some 50 years ago. So enjoy how you have such a great talent for design. Keep up the great work and I look forward to your next video.

So glad grey it out! Not that I didn’t like “some” of the grey but OMG, every bedspread, blanket, pillow, towel, sheets, you name it, it was grey! I just wanted to scream, ADD SOME COLOR for goodness sakes.

Your rich chocolate brown cabinets didn’t offer a glimpse of the brown trend, it started it! I would never have thought of that color in a kitchen until I saw how beautiful and stunning yours is. You have an eye and a gift for this. You’re so incredibly talented!!! 🥰❤️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Nick Lewis just gave you a great and hilarious compliment on his latest Reaction to Other’s Trends video. At his intro, he says “somewhere out there, lone fox is making, like, a sofa, out of out of like 7 teddy bears…” ❤😂

My problem is I’m 60 + and I remember it all my brother painted his room brown in 1968😀 So as I’m old I’ve had it all so now I do what I like!

I think the US is too obsessed with trends. I think it is mostly fueled by a capitalistic need to keep people buying stuff. If you look at Europe, especially the older wealthier houses, they decorate more classic, with furniture, rugs, etc. that are timeless. The idea is for things to be valuable and well built enough to last. The exception to this is the whole IKEA thing, but even that is a style that has not “changed” they way that “trends” do. Just my thoughts. Good style, I think, should be lasting beyond any trend.

I'm with you Drew, I am soooo over pillows! They got ridiculous in the end, and as one friend said, "I'm so tired of tossing a ton of pillows off the bed to sleep at night and lifting up the pillows again to make the bed." I also liked the shot you had of brown pillows on a brown sofa, so they almost disappeared. I'm short legged, and like a pillow behind my back on the average sofa, but loading down sofas with pillows so no one has a place to sit, or your room ends up with pillows on the floor. No, I am so over it.

I love the idea of adding collections into design, it really personalizes a room.

I’m so happy you’re still creating content right now! Lol Most channels I follow this is around the time they take like 2-3 weeks off which is amazing and of course y’all amazing creators well deserve and need a break..I don’t mean it that way. But it’s all at the same time of year and I get sad and don’t know what to do with myself lol 😂

Crafted, curated and collected. I think that’s the biggest trend for 2024. Using the trends you mentioned in your video to create a space that is uniquely yours. At least that’s what I’m striving for this year.

I love these trends! I especially love that they are sort of anti-trendy, more soulful, timeless feeling, and individual. ❤

I love your designs. You have done an awesome job with your home, which you have always done no matter where you have lived. Much love and success for 2024❤

I love the idea of mixing patterns. I had a tour of Abraham Lincoln’s home, and the tour guide talked about how at that time it was not favorable to match things. It was more favorable to have many different patterns and colors in a room. I like it!

I love that you are enthusiastically behind DIY. Lots of other youtubers predict that DIY is 'over' (never was out or in - it just 'is'). It's about being creative, individual, resourceful...5 people can DIY one object so differently. I LOVE that you encourage deliberate mental health measures. Also - Peach Fuzz in your soap bubble bathroom, maybe?

I really enjoyed your comments on trends, but what really struck a nerve with me is collections.Whatever you decide to collect, the joy of finding a new piece is a wonderful feeling. And it truely shows your guests who you are.My problem is that I collect so many different things that my home is a bit crowded.I just can't stop myself.Ms.Kondo would have a heart attack.

I hope you're right about these trends! No shade to anyone who likes the minimalist look, but it was never for me. Homes need colour and personality.

I started making my own crown molding corners using a 3d printer.

I think the best trend is to use a neutral backdrop- natural colors on walls, floor and ceilings- then pop it up with art, objects, textiles. You get away from trends that way and its so easy to change up your mood with just accessories. Also if anybody hates painting walls like I do, its a god send to have neutral walls. Purple wall trim and blue fireplace mantles with yellow walls just don't cut it.

I’m here for patterns, mid-tone browns and handmade because I already style that way lol. I’m okay with silver if it’s antique/patina, but I’ll stick with my antique brass anyways lol. Mixed metals is always fun!
