Could never see myself sanding down my teeth for cosmetic reasons. Makes me feel sick.

I am heartbroken for her but I thank her for sharing her story. My elderly father almost flew from the USA to Turkey to fix his teeth (not cosmetic but he would need many implants due to a medical condition). He decided against it, and decided to take money out of his retirement fund. I just sent him this video. Thank you for allowing her to share her story globally. I’m so sorry for her 😔

I had a crown done to a broken molar that didn't require a root canal. I woke up a week later in the pain of my life. Pain in my ear jaw and neck. I had some sort of temporary pulp inflammation that did thankfully settle down in time. The idea of having this procedure done to every tooth is unthinkable. Having your tooth shaved down like that removes the enamel and agitates the nerve.

I had to get 3 of my teeth done due to a scooter accident I had. They were pretty badly damaged and required root canals, after the root canals they did something similar where they grind the tooth down and put an enamal cap over it. And while the 3 teeth aesthetically look better than my original teeth, mine was done due to an injury. I couldn't imagine going through with my entire mouth purely for the looks.

i am finishing dentistry and i am completely aware about the pain she was feeling once the infection reaches the trigiminal nerve (the cranial nerveV). She had a massive intervention in a short time with a high risk of infection. Eventually, connecting the teeth was completly wrong, it's unconfortable and very agressive for the gingiva (a continuous gums sweling, bleeding increasing the risk of infection and halitosis). i am very glad that you got a happy ending

Anyone who has ever had a toothache b4 was definitely feeling for her when she was in agony.

I live in Turkey, İstanbul where is almost became capital of these kinda applications. I went through the same treatment for five months, every Thursday, at least for three hours. We even tried different models and check out several times that if it perfectly fits my mouth or not. My dentist is so good at her job and always keeps saying that trying to fit that much of a comprehensive procedures into one week is wishing for a miracle. So get an ethical proper dentists who at least bother themselves to explain the facts to you and offer a realistic schedule which is definitely not a week. Cause someone should break this supply and demand loop. I’m so sorry for the lady cause it is already a painful process.

Thank you for being so open about this terrible situation. Perhaps young people that are too busy for oral hygiene might watch and learn so as to not repeat the experience. but no they simply don't think it might happen to them. Hope it's all over now young lady.

What a lifeline that dental practice gave her when she needed it the most . Not all heroes wear capes, some wear scrubs!!

iam a dentist and what she got is full arch crowns not the advertised veneers. crowns are not conservative at all and actually very destructive, only indicated post endodontic treatment and in badly decayed tooth or in bridges to compensate for missing tooth thats it..

I feel terrible for poor Amanda, literally NOTHING as bad as tooth related pain!

I will never understand why this is such a trendy and popular procedure all of a sudden. Most of the people I've seen get this done had perfectly good teeth before and they could've gotten a good result with braces and maybe some whitening... maybe it's just me but shaving your natural, healthy teeth down like that just for vanity purposes sounds absolutely crazy

That’s really AMAZING advice. Go for a consultation!
sometimes just braces and whitening is the best most affordable service.

It’s sickening that dental care is OUTRAGEOUSLY EXPENSIVE!!!
It’s not just about having a nice looking smile, or having the whitest teeth, it’s being able to salvage your real teeth and bone. I don’t think anyone WANTS to have rotting or missing teeth. I find it incredibly sad that far too many people are forced to live with the pain, and more importantly, the inability to EAT !!!! It’s a sad world we live in.

I suffered severe traumatic events that led to tooth loss because, when I was 18 years old, I had a very rare form of stomach cancer (so rare that it was the thirteenth case in the world and I was the youngest to ever have it: Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor-Spindle Cell Neoplasm).

After many months of being in the Hospital and many bouts of treatment with chemotherapy, I managed to beat cancer, and well, I am 43, and I survived. The one massive problem ever since and even more so now. I've had endless problems with my teeth, had no help whatsoever, and have had to spend endless amounts of money to keep what little I have.

I can’t afford dental implants. I’m currently lost with it all. So when I see this.

I want to jump out the window.

Folks, I would advise everyone not to go to Turkey to get dental work, plastic surgery, or any kind of surgery. I have heard countless horror stories from people who got work done in Turkey. One young woman had a tummy tuck that BURST OPEN and she had to hold her intestines in her hand while phoning emergency. Countless stories of people whose wounds went septic, etc. If you want to get work done, save up for it and get it done safely.

who else thought 'wait, turkeys don't have teeth'?

I think there's something wonderful about knowing that the teeth in your head are natural, not shaved down for weirdly perfect fakes.

I had a Dentist take £4500 off me in England and then he told me all I need is all my teeth removed and replaced and charged quoted me £42, 000. I got my gun in Turkey for 11 grand including my flights, they were superb HB Dental Clinic
