I absolutely hate it! Especially as a young teen in school. No one ever knows what direction Im looking in or who im looking at when i talk to someone, my parents think its because I’m on my devices, i have to make my eyes go blurry just to look good in a picture, my brother thinks i just one day when i was younger that i decided i want to make my eyes different from others and make my life harder, i lose track of where i am in books because i shift my eyes, and i’ve had extra eye appointments just to find out what it is! Every time I complain about it my friends who dont have exotropia, they always say that its what make me unique or it’s what makes me more special or different from others, Im sick and tired of it! I know its not the worst thing in the world but i feel like life would be so much easier without dealing with it…

I had this too, I had this when I was about 3/5 maybe? My eye went on the other side without my control, so I wasn't really good at focusing on something. Fortunately it wasn't really serious and when I got my eyes checked the doctor said that I only needed glasses. Now 10/15 yro girl I still have glasses but I don't have a lazy eye anymore!

I had eye surgery for this when I was 4 🙂 I still feel like my eyes aren't the same, and in photos one usually looks smaller than the other, but I don't think other people notice it
