If you are dealing with history of Bengal then how can you avoid Bangladesh? Many of the great Bengali poets, scientists and social-reformers was born in Undivided Bengal. The national anthem of the two neighbouring countries India and Bangladesh was composed by Biswa Kobi Rabindranath Tagore( Janagana Mana and Amar Sonar Bangla respectively). West Bengal, Bangladesh shows similarities in food, costume and culture .
