# 3 is really the only option in my mind. If the first one wasn't so dated I think it would have been nice to have the 1 story and the big deck which I think they both liked. The flooring and the tiling throughout the house would have cost quite a bit of money to remodel.

The 3rd one made the most sense for them. The first one was nice, in theory, but needed too much work. I had to laugh at dad falling before the kids. LOL. Cute couple!

I would have chosen house 3 as well. Didn't need much updating and had enough space to grow into.

I wonder how long he's going to love all of that lawn. 😅 Best of luck to this family.

House one had so much potential. Huge, with a fantastic deck and yard. It could also be upgraded in the future.

House #3 is so elegant. My dream home.

What a nice couple. She’s very sweet, and I love his Chicago accent. I liked #1 the best—the “dated” elements wouldn’t have bothered me one bit, though I do get her concerns with the sunken dining room being a trip hazard. The way they were talking about house 3, I figured that’s probably where they’d end up.

So happy that they didn't pick the ranch. I grew up in one, no privacy at all. I was so thrilled to move into a home with grand a staircase. She is right about the decorating. It is so much fun to decorate all of that. God Bless!

All nice choices, none were perfect and the choice was a matter of tradeoffs and compromise. I like the space of 1# the best but it would require patience and a lot of renovations over time.

He fell down the stairs because he said previously he was going to fall down the stairs 😂😂😂😂😂

I agree with their choice. 3rd house was the best. I'd save up and put a deck and pool in the backyard

Garage for an art studio? No. Been there, done that. No air/heat, terrible light. Shouldn't be an afterthought. House # 2 wasn't anything close to a Craftsman house. Do these writers think we're that stupid?

I'm sorry but that last house kitchen left a lot to be desired! Hardly any cabinets or countertops!😮

Was house number 2 really a Craftsman? It didn't look like a Craftsman at all.
