Las Vegas man exposes new scam in hopes of saving others from it

Thieves are always thinking of new ways to steal money and now a Las Vegas man who almost became a victim of one is fighting back to expose scammers. "It makes me very angry and that's why I let this go as far as it did," Bruce Allan who only wanted us to use part of his name explained. He is calling out the people who he said tried to scam him.

Never do business with an unsolicited caller. The reason we keep getting inundated with phone calls from telemarketers is because they find it profitable. Once business dries up, the telemarketing calls will stop.

If someone contacts you in anyway, it's a scam. Just say no. If they persist, call the police. I'm stunned how far these scammers even get.

Don't pick up your phone unless you know the number. Let them leave a message, then maybe ask a family member to review the message if it sounds sketchy.

I never deal with cold-callers for anything. I know scammers are getting really creative, but if more people just refused to talk with cold-calling sales reps, there'd be a lot fewer victims.
