Suspected killer Luigi Mangione remains behind bars in Pennsylvania as authroities in New York City fight to extradite him to face charges in the high-profile killing of UnitedHealthCare CEO Brian Thompson.

A source told NBC News that a grand jury in New York could indict Mangione as soon as this week. A potential indictment could bolster the Manhattan D.A.'s extraidition case as Mangione fights to stay in Pennsylvania.

Mangione will be represented by Karen Friedman Agnifilo, who was a high-ranking deputy in the Manhattan district attorney’s office for years before entering private practice.

Friedman Agnifilo's law firm, Agnifilo Intrater LLP, confirmed in a statement late Friday that she had been retained to represent Mangione. The firm said she will not be commenting on the case at this time.

Mangione was arrested Monday after a customer at a McDonald’s in Altoona, Pennsylvania, saw him eating breakfast and noticed a resemblance to the person being sought by police in the Dec. 4 killing of Brian Thompson in Manhattan.

Police say Mangione was found with a gun, mask and writings linking him to the ambush outside the New York Hilton Midtown, where Thompson was arriving for his company's annual investor conference. #News #Crime #LuigiMangione

For everyone else, it can be 6 months to a year before a case goes to grand jury. It does vary by state.

New development? Luigi goes FREE, blame is placed where it should be! Oh, no. That's not it. Hmmm. Guess I don't care then.

That's a good son keep your strength up, because that's a good state in Pennsylvania, "Hey Pennsylvania;";
Note - that the video footage been changing on this case, one thing that you learn in school is to follow your first mind, also not to dought yourself, I know what I saw, "She Devil, "because what, I witnessed was a spoiled female on The first footage, and spoiled on someone else's, "BLOODLINE."

This was cold-blooded premeditated murder. Cowardly too to shoot an unarmed man, a father of 2 children in the back. His family is rich enough to afford him a good legal defense but he’ll likely be convicted (given the evidence to date) and should be punished according to the law. Defending such wanton brazen murder is morally reprehensible. Grievances against health insurance industry are understandable but murder is not the answer or there will be chaos. But what is the alternative to expensive health insurance & medical costs? Universal govt -run health care like Canada & UK who on average pay less for health care than Americans? Doesn’t seem many politicians today want that. So is the problem political?
