Vance spent 4 years as a marine. Walz spent 24 years in the National Guard. I commend both for their service, but Vance needs to stop denigrating a fellow veteran. Vance spent 6 months in Iraq, and when he came back he said he "was lucky to escape any real fighting". Now he's trying to demean Walz's 24 years of service?? Vance also stated when he came home that the marines "taught him how to be an adult". Well, apparently not, as his nit-picking is quite juvenile.

it's just trump and vance attacking walz's service. you make it sound like walz said anything reprehensible against vance.

Why does the media keep this story going? Walz has answered and chosen the high road by thanking Vance for his service. It’s the media that is letting Vance make this an active issue.

CNN'S FALSE EQUIVALENCY. Set the record straight:
Shady Vance is attacking Tim Walz's military record; Tim Walz is NOT attacking Shady Vance's military record.

Tim Walz served for TWENTY FOUR YEARS. For JD Vance to say that after having giving up more years than the typical person who has a military career, Walz somehow is a coward is truly despicable. For any fellow veteran to disparage their brother or sister in arms is the actual coward. Vance isn't even telling a true story about Walz. He retired BEFORE he got the word that they MIGHT deploy. Unless he was somehow psychic and knew that his unit was going to get order to deploy, it's unfair of Vance to claim that Walz timed his retirement based on the deployment. And even if that were the case, he had every right to retire. He served four years MORE than his time, had young children, a wife, and a job as a teacher and a football coach. He didn't give up his life serving people either; he simply decided to serve in another way as a congressman. Even the people who he served with who have differences in political beliefs are speaking out and saying what Vance is saying is completely wrong. While I'm not surprised that JD would stoop so low, he should be ashamed of himself.

They served. Cadet Bone Spurs didn't and looked down at those injured or killed as suckers.

One is supporting current US allies, the other does not support current US allies.

2 things. First- as a veteran, I don’t care if you served 2 years behind a desk or 30 years in combat. If you honorably served this country, you should be proud of that that service.
Second- if these people listened to what Harris has said at a single rally, they’d know exactly what policies and visions she has for this country. Too bad they won’t hold Trump to the same standard.

The important fact to remember is that Vance supports a draft-dodger.

Attacking fellow veterans shows a complete lack of valor!

Honestly, Vance doing this to Walz is immoral, and desperate - if this is the best thing they can find to attack the guy with, then it actually helps Walz more than it will hurt him - b/c Vance has quite a laundry list of other issues, and appears to be the gift that keeps on giving, any more air to this nonsense is disrespectful to, and doing, ALL of our uniformed men and women a terrible disservice. Just ignore it....

Why is Vance who held a camera talking smack about Walz who held a gun during his service. Does it matter where he served? So, according to Vance all of the other military people who don't serve in a war zone are garbage? Vance is such a weirdo!

Vance attacks fellow veterans, Walz thanks them for their service.

I'm beginning to lose it with CNN. We know exactly who K. Harris is and we don't believe trump. People are paying attention to the rallies, we hear her speak so please stop saying she needs to do interviews... why would she when there you all go lying about "nobody knows her... she has to define herself " . Is CNN not watching any of her rallies? Stop with the false talking points.

Hello - I have been hearing a LOT of policy issues DIRECTLY FROM Kamala Harris! What planet are these guys on that they say she isn't talking about what she will do? Is it because their egos are involved? I am getting really tired of the fact that during "interviews" and "press conferences" of the Trump campaign - that the journalists aren't pushing back. And yet they have the GAUL to say that Ms Harris and the Harris/Wahl campaign aren't talking issues! SAVE ME FROM THIS CRAP!

Watching Vance attack a fellow veteran is disgusting. He dishonors the service when he attacks Waltz’s record.

When J.D.Vance found out his couch was bisectional he tossed it to the curb and didn't want it anymore.
