What version of Carla you use. I can't see win32 or win64 option on my installed carla?

Subbed for Music production was the only thing holding me back from fully switching, this is great

Wow Thanks! I just made this work using Ubuntu 17.10 and Bitwig! :)
Loaded the carla.vst as CarlaRack and now I'm using my plugins. No noticable latency or anything.
Dude, I owe you bigtime! :)

Nice tutorial. Would you say it's safe to use Linux and Carla for live performances as a keyboard player? (I know the basics: that I must use a computer just for this, with a clean system etc...) . Have you ever had any problems with latency using midi controllers?

Hi. Thank you for the video.
Carla won't show me the plugin's name although VST2 number increases alter I follow your steps. Any ideas on this?

Great video! But I have this problem:
I am trying to add the MT Power Drumkit 2 plugin to Carla. Everything you have explained in the video worked but at the end Carla does not find the plugin file (.dll) that I have copied in the .vst directory. Could you help me out?

Hey man, after a while I finally made this work for me (w/ Reaper and Antergos Linux). However, I'm not using a filter effect like you are so I have an issue...

I'm trying to use the magical8bit plugin (which I can load in Carla) as a virtual instrument in Reaper i.e. I want to play MIDI files on a Reaper track and have them sound 8bit. The only way I've been able to obtain that 8bit sound from Reaper is by opening a new track with a synth FX (ReaSynth) and connecting the Carla Patchbay the same way you did (except for the Jack INPUT Client and the EQ4Q Mono). Now, here's the fun thing:

When I connect AND capture->Reaper->Playback, and play a MIDI file on the Reaper track, I can hear a combination of both the ReaSynth and the magical8bit plugin.

If I only connect capture->Reaper-Playback, I can too only hear the ReaSynth, which is to be expected.

However, if I only connect capture->Reaper->Carla->Playback, I can only hear the ReaSynth as well, which strikes me as very odd. I cannot find a way to exclusively get the magical8bit sound without the ReaSynth (I've tried replacing that with other FX with no luck thus far). Do you have any idea what might be causing this issue?

Cheers and thanks for you videos!

Ok, but what if I have the plugins fully installed on windows, but I just want to pull from those locations. Do you need to reinstall all of them?
