Really, really helpful video! Music-making virgin here, so everything is like Chinese to me, so I really didn't understand the types of VST and how to install and access them, so this video covered everything needed! Cheers

When I had Windows 7 I could have the desktop plug-ins and choose which one I wanted to use for music. I had as many as 12 plugins and each worked on the desktop. When I wanted to try to add a new plugin to Audacity, then I lost all the plugins from the desktop. For me it is a big loss because now I can not set to the desktop and besides, as it turns out, my computer does not support the dll format. I don't know what I'm supposed to do. I have no one around to help me. I do not use a DAW program.
