Excellent documentary. Every time I watch a glimpse into WW2, I am struck by the hardships they faced and endured to make a future that is better than what the opposite would have brought. Yes, the greatest generation. Something that will never happen again. Let us pray we don't squander their sacrifices with this current wave of thinking that seriously jepordizes their hard fought steps to a better but now possibly uncertain future.

Long tense mission to travel and I guess the “No Smoking” sign was on the entire mission!
I’ve seen and read so much on this mission and the Tirpitz, this, to me is one of most fascinating missions of the RAF.
I maintain this was just the fortunes and misfortunes of war, a sad loss of young lives nevertheless. 41:39

No, we couldn't have the Nazis in charge. We Americans get none of this history taught to us. We are the benefactors and yet proceed on in blissful ignorance of the sacrifices of our British brethren. At age 76 I am just now learning of this remarkable feat. Thank you YouTube.
