When a dog hits and nothing is found it should go in a report, and if a dog has a bunch of hits with nothing found the officer should be investigated.

Sniff dogs should be restricted to Federal agencies protecting the border. Even then, they should be using sniffer dogs like hounds and beagles. The LEO industry has become saturated with undertrained over qualified dogs working for undertrained overqualified “handlers”.

The cop lied. He can’t tell you to exit the vehicle for any reason. There is only one reason they are allowed to ask you to get out, and that’s officer safety. If they think you pose a threat they can demand you get out. But they’d better be able to articulate reasonable suspicion as to why they thought you were a threat if you take them to court in a civil suit. They lie all the time saying “you look nervous, your eyes are darting everywhere, etc, ” just to be able to justify pulling you out of the vehicle. It’s those lies used to violate our rights why so many of us don’t trust cops, don’t respect cops and hate cops. They earn the hate with actions like this.

Please Please file a lawsuit! This motorist was clearly driving while BLACK and these police do not have
1) probable cause
2) Consent to search
3) a search warrant
4) reasonable articulable suspicion
5) This post documents CRIMINAL ACTIVITY by law enforcement and the lawsuit should net MILLIONS

They can ask you to get out. They can order you out. They can not search your car without consent or reasonable suspicion. A false alert from a dog is flimsy suspicion, but they will get away with profiling and harassing this man.
