Application Questions:
1. Identify every reference to “signs” in John’s Gospel, especially noting people’s reactions to them.  What does each sign (and/or the signs in general) reveal about Jesus? What stands out to you about the signs?
2. Notice the places where John emphasizes Jesus' divine nature, and where he highlights Jesus’ human nature. Do you struggle with affirming both? Which have you noticed others struggling with, both inside and outside the church? How can John's Gospel speak to these struggles?
3. John identifies himself as “the disciple whom Jesus loved” (John, 21:20). He also mentions Jesus’ love for Martha, Mary, Lazarus, and all his disciples (John 11:5, 13:1 15:12-13). If you are a disciple of Jesus, your name is on the list of the ones he loves! How have you personally encountered the love of Jesus? What areas of your life still need an encounter?
