GOSPEL ACCORDING TO JOHN AND HIS LETTERS | GENERAL BACKGROUND OF THE NEW TESTAMENT| DR ROJI T GEORGE

Discussion on the general backgroud of the Gospel According to John does not cover in details every aspect of discussion done among the scholars. By posting this video, it is intended to help a beginner to learn and understand the general background details of the books. It is recorded primarily to help my Undergrad students to gain general awareness of the topic before they come into the class and participate in more details discussions on the book.

Other issues of great interest like (1) the literary features, its relation with other books in the NT canon, and structure of the book, (2) the key theological themes, and (3) a detail discussion on the purpose of writing the book will be discussed in the class. However, I hope that the content would be interesting and educational for others too who may be interest to hear and learn them to understand the book better.
