Dances With Wolves (1990)

Dunbar and Timmons set out on their quest to Fort Sedgwick after Dunbar receives orders to be stationed there. I added in the new scene of the Commander searching for the wagon to make the clip longer.

The artistic genius who imagined the music to capture everything about this scene is incredible.

The guy that played Timmons was excellent portraying his character, particularly at the beginning driving his team of mules.

Barry gave us such inspiring music during his lifetime here on earth. His music lives on in film and we can remember his contribution to mankind in pieced like Born Free and Dances with wolves. The man was pure genious. RIP John Barry

The score repeats itself in a first few bars as a heavy laden journey lulling you to to follow then explodes and takes you totally by surprise into sprawling vastness .

If only our lives played an epic soundtrack like this. Life would be sweet. Barry truly knew how to tap into the time and our emotions

The music reminds me of, well, Old West movies and TV series back in the days when I was still a boy. Now I'm 52

I drive through the Great Plains of Kansas to Colorado several times a year. When I hit Hays where it really starts to become gorgeous, I always play this theme.

John Barry and Dean Semler!!! Masters of Cinema!!. As Jon Dunbar said " I want to see the frontier before it's gone". The same can be said for the art of film making. Modern movies are entertainment for profits sake, we must seek out the poetry of pure cinema and while Dances with Wolves may not be perfect, it overflows with the poetry of Cinema.

After a little voice analysis and recently watching 1883 I concluded this is what he is sayin

"Ho little bit Jimmy Jake!
Ho little bit Jen!
Ho little bit!
Here little bit Jim!
Here little bit Jim!
Here little bit!
Giddy on yaw little bit!"

He then sings a toon that goes like this "Hoo hee hen hur"

Justy noticed how Dunbar is no longer on the wagon but on his horse at the end . He could only take so much of Timmons .

This song IS the West…Glad I am from here. No where else holds the beauty that is the wild untamed Western North America.
