This is the post-intermission deleted scene where Dunbar has returned to Fort Sedgwick after temporarily staying at the Sioux camp to help with the buffalo hunt. He finds a chicken that Two Socks had killed and cooks and eats it then talks about how him helping the Natives means more than helping the Army.

This movie is so precious. Even the outtaked scenes are just as great as the theatrical cut.

I'm watching this during the quarantine, suddenly I realize my isolation is NOTHING compared to what settlers went through! I have my TV, and computer on, a fridge full of food, my car outside, and a smart phone in my pocket. Not too bad, lol! I feel better about things! :)
