That's some eerie foreshadowing for ya Timmons.

This and "Put dat in yo book" were probably two of the funniest lines I've ever heard in a movie that was so serious.

"Why don't he write?" LMFAO, dark humor at its finest.

Back in 1990 in the theater I laughed so damn hard at this line that people were looking at me.

Right back at you, Timmons, right back at you.

That was a heart wrenching seen when the Indians killed the supply man. Even though he was very crude. Last words don't hurt my mules.

A few years late someone will come across the bones of Timmons

One of the funniest damn cinematic lines ever to exist. I dont care if it fortold Timmons death. Actually makes it eerily funnier. Hilarious.

“Give a hoot, don’t pollute, Timmons.”

Out of all the great dialogue, I thought that this line was the best.  There have been certain situations where I've thought of this line since then.

Everything was a joke to Timmons, even farting. Put that in ya book, lol.

I was ten, and I was howling in the theater. Me and like two other people laughed hysterically. I embarrassed my parents. Wouldn’t be the last time.

It was a funny line, but we laugh at death to hide our fear, when Timmons saw the Indians coming after him he wasn't making jokes,

Impressive attention to detail with the scalping mark on the skull.

I really like the director's cut of this film. Loved the theatrical release, really love the director's cut.

The detail of the broken ribcage makes it more interesting.

If Timmons knew he was going to suffer the same fate as that man, he wouldn't be laughing

I still use this quote all the time, for instance when my husband is waylaid by a chatty friend and I call to see what's taking so long 😂.

Funny thing is, Dunbar says the same line later in the movie when he sees Two Socks for the first time in a while when he comes back to the soldier fort.
