Tyler Perry is speaking out and expressing his outrage over the devastating LA fires, but what’s even more shocking is the betrayal by insurance companies. Many clients were dropped before the fires, leaving them without fire insurance just as disaster struck. These individuals, some of whom have been loyal customers for years, now face unimaginable loss with no support from their insurance providers.

This is a dreadful and unfair situation, and Tyler Perry isn’t holding back. Are you on the same page as Tyler Perry? How do you feel about these insurance companies abandoning their responsibilities? Let’s discuss!

It’s so devastating to see so many people who have lost their homes and find out that their insurance companies have canceled their coverage. That is just completely insane and I believe it’s illegal. I am so glad that Tyler Perry is willing to take action to help as much as he can. God bless him and those who lost everything in this time of need. Thank you Tyler Perry for your interest willing to helping during this devastating time for so many people.

That is not fair, 75yrs of Paying Fire Insurance and they just Cancel it, this is so wrong, the Government needs to do something, force them to Pay up, this is truly Heartbreaking....😔

It is so horrible!! I'm not saying Luigi Magione should be called on a mission; but this makes quite the point. Why upon knowing that reservoirs are dry, with no water in hydrants, and then to unilaterally cancel insurances of individual households, only to soon after have such a disaster in areas known to be as vulnerable as it has proven to be; whereby leaving each and everyone without recourse??? Something is afoot. If anything, they ought to be severely penalised and their draconian policies and terms have to be overhauled!! Whether involved or nor this was completely unfair and a horrible injustice.

They did the same thing in the NE & Southern states from the storms in September. And the insurance went up a few months ago.

The insurance industry is playing hard ball across the nation especially in certain states. It really is the big bad monster that you don't want to poke because you need their protection. Don't know how this will ever be fixed. The same is true of big pharma and healthcare.

That is very sad what happened to the people with the insurance policy after they invested so much money into that something needs to be done about that there should be a new law about the way they handle the policies.

My question is did the insurancrs have this outrage when they got cancelled? I also think that the insurance companies dropped them because they knew the drought was going to be long lasting and that tit was a probability . A cast atrophy waiting to happen. Every year it’s the same thing. Come comes the Santa Ana Winds fueling fires

Don't only look at insurance companies cancelling policies. Let's go backwards in time and look at whether developers and the real estate industry should be building any housing in these high risk areas. I bet the developers & real estate industry applied pressure when state rep tried pass bills eliminating development (meaning building homes/businesses) in high risk and known to be fire risks areas. Most of the ocean view, mountain view, woodlands view areas of LA were never meant to have permanent housing or business (like hotels with glorious views) on them. In these days of climate change, folks need to start looking at NOT RE-BUILDING on lands were not meant to have permanent housing or businesses on them. That's why insurance companies dropped insurance for most of these areas. They knew the risks but didn't tell anybody. To me it is so sad we arrogant Americans think we have the rights to build anywhere and do anything we want to the land long as we have the money to pay for lawyers who force our way of being onto others less fortunate. As always its all about the Benjamins!!!

Insurance companies need regulation from the government yet that won’t happen. They are making money off these companies. We pay insurance premiums because it’s mandatory if your home is financed. Yet they can decide they’re not paying, what they will pay etc. then you need separate riders for hurricanes, floods, fire, etc. same with medical insurance. Let’s not even think about automobile insurance. That’s a complete rip off! All the stock holders, board of directors will just keep collecting big profits and keep it moving!
