in the book (film is based on it) the ending is really different and if i remember correctly there is no doubt that coraline returned to the real world, accept that the other mother hand has the key.

The soles of the other children did say that once they saw the other mother, they never saw their real mother/ parents ever again. So I’m more than certain that the same thing happened with Coraline. Once she crawled through the portal the first time she never went back.
