Getting funded is easy, staying funded is where gets real

I quit my job in finance to day trade full time. I had 8 years experience with stocks, options, futures, etc… it’s harder than it looks. Been full time about 8 months and breaking even with payouts to my cost of membership and reset fees. The reality is you’re going to have to reset a number of times so you need to anticipate there being costs to running the business. One of my biggest pitfalls was expecting it to be easier than it is and trading with too much size. If I had scaled down from the beginning and been patient rather than trying to get through the simulation as fast as I could, I’d have saved a lot of money and became more consistent faster. Good luck-

It's not about the challenges being "easy or hard" it's about how good you are as a trader.. the rules are the rules.

Don't wish it were easier, wish you were better. - Jim Rohn

Absolutely true. Instead of aiming for lofty goals, stick to your plan and set realistic goals. I take my time while adding
TTP to my stock account.

Trading props doesn’t even make sense if your comfortable in ur trading skills its better to compound rather than throw money at challenges that 500 for a 100k challenge that you’ve done 3 times could have easily been used to compound trade. Even wen u get 100k account with daily loss limit and drawdown rules is it acc a 100k account no so you have to do more challenges to get a decent withdrawal which you could have easily done if your profitable compound trading and risking 10% per trade on £100 account. Its a trap and get rich quick scheme for beginners theres no easy way or shortcut to success. I also know that more than likely most people saying prop trade haven’t made 5 figures with a prop firm and including all the challenges they have done in their lifetime they are most probably at break even

its hard, but finding a trustable propfirm makes it way easier, i use equity edge analytics due to their great conditions and low prices

I’m funded and make 4k monthly from prop firm, it’s possible you just need an edge, a real edge and the only way to get that is through experience, do your time, read candlestick books and stop doing the same thing over expecting different results
Most importantly network <- this was the biggest one for me and I watched charts for a year straight sim trading documenting what happened

It's true prop firms are making money off the fees they charge and barely anyone is passing them! The main issue for me is the broker manipulation of the platform. I see it clearly comparing my Tradingview charts with theirs!

If u dont know your pairs well buying a challenge is not for u. I bought a challenge passed phase 1 in one trade on Gold but failed phase 2 cause of a pair(us100) i didnt know much about, so i bought another 2 accounts one i would only trade Gold the other only us100, passed the first phase on the acc i was trading only Gold with in a day in one trade and on the other acc i found 2 good trades but cause of fear i colsed early and got small profits ended up losting that acc and was left with my account where i was trading only Gold which i said before i passed phase 1 and got phase 2 also passed phase 2. NOW IM FUNDED had a lose on a trade but recently got the acc back to profit but sadly i didnt notice profits were by 10% cause i was to happy think about the payout and market went down and had to leave the trade with only 1% profits

Somebody help me please, I want to get a funded account but my friends and family always tell me that prop firms can just steal my ssn and then like 30 years later use it to for example buy a mansion in my name?

The problem with prop firms is their rules keep it from being real world trading. And I'm a prop firm trader with Take Profit Trader

Some people ended up being profitable but they just scammed people

December is a pretty shitty month ngl but yeah statistically it gets even lower after passing the challenges alot of people dont even make it to the payout the drawdown rules are pretty strict but if you got a hell of a risk management plan and very disciplined from not deviating you can prolly make the pay out but it aint gonna be 20k lol more like 4-5% from a 100k lol then profit split then the 45% tax from capital gains "not under llc/scorp" but if youre able to get pay outs to keep funding more challenges lasting hopefully 3-4 payouts youll be able to fund a healthy non funded live account

What would you recommend after being profitable on demo trading?

Begin a Prop firm account or leveraged trading account?
