In this video: raising resilient kids.
In this video we'll learn concrete steps to boost resilience in children, the importance of things like family day, parents' role in building resilience, importance of behavioral modeling, importance of setting clear expectations, approaches to parental monitoring, teaching emotional regulation, impact of family conflict on mental health and substance use, risk factors for substance use, what is healthy risk taking behavior, and what are examples of healthy risk taking. We'll also discuss problems with social media and mental health, how social media can be harmful as well as helpful, connection between mental and physical health, insomnia and addiction, teaching coping skills, divorce and coparenting, and good enough parenting.
