I'm Paula. I'm a former professional cook and overall eating enthusiast.

I started this channel because I love making dinner and I love eating dinner.. but mostly it's because all I've ever wanted in life is to have my own cooking show. When I didn't get a callback after submitting my tape to Food Network in 2003, I put that dream to rest for awhile. That is until I clued in that I can do it myself on YouTube!

I love sharing the tips I've learned from professional kitchens, as well as tidbits from my holistic nutrition education. But mostly I just want to show you how to make dinner. (See what I did there?) 😄

My cooking style is simple but flavourful. I cook with a lot of veggies but I'm not vegetarian. For me, a typical dinner is balanced, budget-friendly, non-fussy, and really delicious. I make a lot of family-friendly comfort food and a lot of simple, realistic dinners for one (or two).

I'm glad to see dill getting some love :) I love it too! Most underrated fresh herb imho (except in Eastern Europe, there it's arguably slightly overrated ...)

Yum, never heard of this technique but it makes so much sense! Also I've been thinking of making egg salad for weeks now and we have some dill we planted in the back garden, so a double thank you!

My 1st comment! Love ur show for a few reason, learned a lot simple combination techniques with simple and unsual ingredients and spices. Which makes easy home cooking from scratch so much more wow. Anyway im sidetracking myself.

I will forever be making my eggs Salad on a greater from now on because just yes! Wish i thought of it sooner. And... I love celery in egg salad. I dont try to dice it I grate it! U shape down. It takes out the flesh and leaves the tough skin and strings behind! Try it

Weird question IDK if it's dumb but would cooking times differ between eggs stored in the fridge (like it's stored in North America) vs left out?

Salt & Pepper - mandatory with eggs. Also 'at times' a sprinkle of Za'Atar and / or ground smoked chilli.

Update: It didn’t need the green onion! (But it wouldn’t have hurt) 😄

That sounds really good! I’m always afraid to do anything on my box grater for fear that I will slice off the tips of my fingers. I did that once on a mandolin and I threw it away after but I have been afraid ever since. There’s nothing between your fingertips and those sharp edges! 😳

I use a potato masher. Much faster and less messy.
