I loved your honest video. I've been trying to convince myself to switch from the Chase Sapphire Reserve to the Amex Platinum, but keep coming to the conclusion that the only real benefit is the Centurion Lounge access. For now, I am sticking with the CSR. I would love to see your similar assessment of the CSR, especially comments on the travel insurance benefits.

Finally!! Thank you for the great video. In short, $700 for a card, and can't bring a guess. Useless credits, why not just provide a restaurant, or dinning credit? Amex wants you to forget to use these credits. Save your $700, and use it towards another 2-3 days at your vacation destinations. Is not about the price of the card, for me is all about value. I have no objections sitting at terminal, and sharing meals with other folks. Ty again 👍🏽

That's a comprehensive & really informative video for the Amex Platinum card. Amex has been selling me this card hard for a while now and trying to get me to upgrade from the gold card. Honestly, the $695 annual fee is not too hefty if I could use most of the listed benefits- which I probably won't use. I get to use all my gold card benefits and knock off the $250 annual fee with ease.

3:05 You can pick and choose which substitutions to make OR if you dont like what's suggested, simply choose "Don't Substitute". Sometimes I order $4 worth of eggs and they want to substitute it with an $8 alternative. UMMM NO. But if you are pressed for time, you'll take it (and cry about it later. LOL). Either way, youre on the driver's seat.

I find this card to be very good value for me. I get at least $1, 000 in credits. The airline credit covers Wi-Fi fees so it’s a great value. Also, the fine hotel and resorts is AWESOME!

If you have a corporate card, you get $150 statement credit on your personal card. Granted, this is a narrow benefit but does offset the $695 annual fee.

First of all, thanks for the video. I love your practicality in the beginning the card was a great value for you. But as life changes occurred it became no value for you.
I personally have the ms platinum my wife and I travel about eight times a year. So in my case it works but who knows in the future

Look.. the bottom line is that after the bonus entry honeymoon phase for most people...AMEX will not be the answer as many YouTube channels say will do! Amex cards are for those individuals whom are high spenders ($1000s) and take advantage of the international perks to include their fine resorts and other perks (Global Entry ect...) since your usual trip within the US will not do much in return of benefits!! Most American people have'em just to show-off the metal card/s! Honestly, most people will never earn enough points after the fact (bonus) to keep paying $695 / year 😂 It's the truth...you might as well get real with another trifecta 😊 Don't give away your hard earned money, cuz its hard as it is already.
