I love the AirPods Pro 2, but the silicone irritates my ears after being in my ears for a while. Also they tend to fall out of my ears. None of the different sizes stops them from falling out. I hope the AirPods 4 fit better. I’ll have to try them out. Thanks for the review Brian.

I’d still go for the better ANC on the AirPods Pro 2. The little bit higher price is worth it for that superior noise cancellation than AirPod 4.

Thanks for this review. Good stuff. I've been on the fence as I have two sets of AP2 Pros, and they finally seem to have fixed a firmware issue with them playing without being in my ears. While the 4s are tempting, I think I'll stick with my Pro2s for now. Appreciate your style and approach.

Loved the review Brian. Got some questions about the airpods 4. Can you charge the case by its self without the earbuds being inside it? Does the battery percentage of the buds and the case appear on the battery widget even if the case is closed?

I was going to order it and realized they dont have MagSafe charging which sucks. yes you can still use watch charger, but why remove it? they also remove the charging cable

its like apple nowadays, have to remove something whether be accessories, features or hardware

Big question I’m thinking of getting one of the EarPods and I don’t know if you can use just one at a time. I find myself throughout the day just using one headphone in and once it runs out of battery I swap it out. Can I do this with both of them? This will make it easier to decide to make the jump. Great review! I think yours is the only one so far I’ve talking about the controls. Glad to know you can still hold to switch ANC on or off since in even Apple’s compare page it only says holding the stem supports activating Siri!
