Apple last week released the AirPods 4, and one version of the new earbuds has Active Noise Cancellation included. ANC means the AirPods 4 have a feature set that rivals the AirPods Pro 2, so we thought we'd compare the two for those undecided on which to get.

I purchased the AirPods 4 with ANC, brought them home and mowed the lawn with them in. They sounded great and the ANC was solid! But after an hour my ears hurt from having them in, so because of the fit I returned them and got the AirPods Pro 2 and they have been perfect!

I have AirPods Pro 2, but I moved to AirPods 4 ANC. The tradeoff of comfort over slightly less sound quality was worth it for me. I primarily use it for podcasts, so it was ok. Besides being open the AirPods 4 is lighter, so it really feels better. Smaller case is really good on the pockets.

The fact that the AirPods Pro 2 were released in September 2022 and that their price now is $189 from everybody but Apple suggests to me that they’ll be coming out with an AirPods Pro 3 before too long.

Been using both for a week now and still torn on which to keep. The AirPod pro 2 always work their way out while eating or walking and I have to adjust them. The 4s seem to stay better and not work their way out.

Totally opposite for me the sharp edges don't fit well in my eras so I prefer the Pro's.

My AirPods Pro (original) finally kicked the can and they ALWAYS hurt my ears. Really stoked to have the best features available with a much more comfortable headphone set like this!

0:35 - I've worn the AirPods Pro 2 in my ears for the entire full hours (6) several times and they NEVER hurt. They're the first earbuds that never hurt my ears after long hours of use. Bose and sony always hurt on the other hand and when I finally take them off, I get a brief ache in my ears!

AirPods 4 does charge on the Apple Watch charger like AirPods Pro 2

Nice video. I also use the AirPods Pro 2 on a daily basis for hours and hours, without pain.
Have You already tried them with "Memory Foam" eartips instead of the default silicone eartips?

2:54 no offense but if you can't tell a difference between the 2 you really shouldn't be reviewing these. I'm a Pro 2 user and just got the 4, they sound decent but big difference to the Pro 2 in terms of sound quality.

Thank you for the informative video. I currently own AirPods 3 and while flying I have to turn the volume up to maximum to hear my podcasts. At what volume level were you listening with AirPods 4 + ANC while flying?

For me the the AirPods Pro 2 don’t fit as well as the AirPods 😭 and I tried both tips

I'm considering the AirPods Pro only because I think, with the tips, they'll stay in my ears more securely. Regular AirPods don't stay in well. Is this not a typical experience?

Thank You very much 4 this video. I can wear them for 24 hrs or longer (the only advantage when You‘re a SSD Single Side Deaf like me) since I only use one (the left or right) earbud in my right ear (the left ear is DEAD) and am able to listen a year (what I never do) without interruption because one is charging, the other in my right ear.
To fit the left earbud in my right ear, I just have to turn the stem upwards instead of downwards (the normal wearing position)

If my ears were fatigue due to the silicone ear tips of the Pro’s, if I remove the tip would it work & sound the same as the regular AirPods?
