People are saying that this video is insensitive to the people who lost friends and family are weird. Almost every hurricane takes lives, so 9 is a comparatively good number. Also, milton was projected to be one of the worst hurricanes Florida has ever seen and turned out to be a CAT 3, so the death toll could have been a lot worse. Im not saying that the lives lost dont matter and i do give my condolences to those that lost others but clearly this video wasn't made to disrespect the deceased it was made to give some info and news on Milton.

Born and raised in tampa and I won’t lie this is the most damage I’ve ever seen from any hurricane shit was intense regardless of the death toll

One of the most prolific tornado outbreaks from a tropical system ever, at least 3 EF3 tornadoes have been confirmed. One of which was likely EF4. Also this was never expected to make landfall at peak strength. Landfall as a Category 3 was pretty much always the forecast.

My city got it pretty bad in Central FL with basically every lake and pond having spill over and flooding, a storm chaser I was watching stalled out on the Northside due to the flooding and had to be reacued by another team

My step dad works as linemen and he said the search and rescue dogs aren’t finding bodies all the time just body parts

Most of the tornadoes are believed to be part of a storm system that actually got sucked into Milton's path, basically proceeding the outerbands themselves, or even forming into the outer bands that caused such a large outbreak. Reed Timmer talked about it on FB

I live by Kissimmee. I’m eternally grateful that the hurricane was no where near as strong as projected. My friends from Tampa were able to go back to their home without much issue, just a little power outage

Phil I love you man but Milton was no bitch. He came here and wrecked everything. Tornadoes, flooding, flying debris. 0/10 would not recommend.

Yeah the problem is the media sensationalized the situation like it was the end of days and it was not that serious. Crying wolf just leads to people doubting warnings in the future
