Fixing My Oil Burning Car, LIQUI MOLY

Today I’m trying to fix my 2016 Kia Optima SX from burning oil, I’ve tried 10w30 and I’ve changed the PCV valve but it’s still burning oil. So now I’m trying a whole bunch of liqui-moly products to see if that will do the trick. Hope you enjoy :)

I bought a second-hand Toyota Vitz/Yaris with a 2SZ-FE (1.3L) @ 91, 000 Km and @ 95, 000 Km noticed the oil had reached the lower dot on the dipstick (had also the first servicing), decided to use engine oil flush every oil change. I am @135, 000km the engine is still burning oil but still around 1 litre for every 5000Km. I change the oil every 5000 Km or 3000 miles with a Liqui Moly Engine Flush Plus prior. The car is a gift to my dad 7 years ago, who is 84 years old this year, it's his daily drive. I am not in a financial position to buy him another car, just hope I can maintain the oil consumption and it does not get worse. I also don't know for how long my dad will be driving . . .

Liqui Moly Injectron in the gas tank is AMAZING!! Try it sometime. Never tried the Valve clean, but I have direct injection so it wouldn't clean my valves. lol

You need valve stem seals not snake oil in a can

That's a GDI engine (direct injection) any attempt to clean valves from the fuel is not useful - but do put additive to clean the injectors.
Because the intake valves are not getting cleaned and build up carbon on direct injections eventually it may require to take off the intake manifold and blast the valves clean with wallnut shells...
However, there are today methods to clean the valves using strong agents such as CRC GDI - look them up, on hyundai's as much as I recall you can inject them from a vaccum tube such as the brake booster.
Using a higher viscosity of OIL is what most people do for all that I know, you can also lookup for the noak volatility specs of your oil so that less of it would be burnt - checkup Amsoil noak volatility of their premium OIL...
And yes additives do improve or at least help to extend the engine's life - BG RF-7, liqui moly ceratek or the oil saver and you have BG MOA and Liqui Moly MOS2

If the engine is not a good condition and smokes due to piston ring issues (not valve stem seals) consider rebuilding it - if it is not as bad - do all the above and as well a good flush but take in mind that you can not really fix an engine you can only slow its "death rate".

I tried almost the exact same thing with my 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport. Hyundai/Kia have an engine recall. Unfortunately they are not calling it a recall but you need to make sure you have the KSDS software update on your vehicle because at some point your engine is going to fail. There's a lot of information online regarding this issue. You will need to make sure you start getting your oil change history documents together because when it fails (rod bearing/ crankshaft failure) that's going to be one of the first things they will ask you for. I'm waiting for mine to fail because it's burning crazy amounts of oil as well.

The engine flush would be your best bet or top end engine cleaner that you pull the coils and plugs out and let sit on the pistons for a day, the valve cleaner won’t do anything because it’s a GDI so the fuel is not injected before the valves to clean them(and it’s snake oil anyway) if that doesn’t work then she needs a motor

And turbo cars leak oil from the turbo

Liqui Moly started out as cheap oil. I'm not sure they have their own oil production. ( they didn't a couple if years ago)
Edit: they don't produce the motoroils themselves, it is the company Meguin that produces the motoroils. Source Wikipedia.
Meguin won a motoroil test in a german magazine.

Dealers do PISTON SOAK after a failed oil consumption test. I am going through my 2nd piston soak now
