In this first episode of my DIY driveway series, I’m transforming a garden space into a functional parking area. This video covers the removal of two large bushes, digging out stubborn roots, and demolishing a brick wall to clear the area for the driveway. I’ll show you the tools I used, including a grafting shovel and pickaxe, and share some useful tips for tackling deep roots and breaking down a concrete post.

Key topics covered:
✔ Cutting down overgrown bushes & removing deep roots
✔ Demolishing a brick wall & clearing debris
✔ Breaking up a concrete post & removing rebar
✔ Planning the driveway layout & edging ideas

This is just the beginning of the DIY driveway project, so make sure to subscribe to follow along!

Looking forward to seeing more of this 👍🏻 having a driveway is lifechanging lol no searching for a space in the cold and rain at night.
A mattock is a very useful bit of kit for removing stuff!

Looking forward to following this new project. I dug out a hedge once so I know what you mean about tangled up roots, that job was nuts!

Great work so far. Are you getting the curb dropped? I looked into it and it costs £2k round our way 😅
