How do we get infected with the coronavirus? Japanese researchers have used a supercomputer to simulate how viral particles move. The simulation makes the invisible threat visible and could help people evaluate risk of infection. Their findings show how far even the smallest droplets can spread and demonstrate how masks, social distancing and humidity impact the spread of COVID-19. Their research suggests that the use of humidifiers may help limit infections indoors during times when regular ventilation isn't possible.

It's pretty clear at this point that young people care more about their pleasure than about the older people in their lives.

Yes, everything in life carries some risk and as an individual you are certainly entitled to make that judgment call for yourself. But when your actions increase the risk to someone else, for example in drunk driving, I think most of us would agree that such actions should not be allowed. They shouldn't be allowed not because they increase the risk for yourself but because they increase the risk for other people.
The exact same line of reasoning can be used to justify strict social distancing and lockdown measures against covid-19.

When I worked as an engineer in industry, one of the early things I learned was that 'we' had to provide health & safety measures for those workers who - due to carelessness or ignorance - endangered themselves or others. It's a shame that this is not practiced in ordinary life - particularly regarding those folks who don't believe we even have a problem! Ignorance can and does kill!

In Thailand on the top of mask wearing. (Sometimes i wear double masks which is one on the top of other) I always keep telling my family to carry a bottle of Ethyl Alcohol 70% (a little spray bottle) to spray their hands everytime they touch (bank notes, coin, shopping bags etc.) And we are still fine since begining of this year!! We have grandmother living with us. She is 85 years old. She has heart dieases, diabets, blood pressures etc. This is the reason we really need to be careful.

If there is one thing I've learned from this pandemic is that humans won't be able to do a thing about global warming. If we are not being able to take care of one thing that is so immediate. Imagine trying to change people's behavior for something that they don't acknowledge or even experience in their lifetime. It's a lost battle. Future generations won't have a chance. Selfishness and greed is the death of us.

As an American watching this news channel for the first quite refreshing to listen to news without having to figure out what your ulterior motive is.

To prevent the spread of COVID-19:👍

Clean your hands often. Use soap and water, or an alcohol-based hand rub.

Maintain a safe distance from anyone who is coughing or sneezing.

Wear a mask when physical distancing is not possible.

Don’t touch your eyes, nose or mouth.

Cover your nose and mouth with your bent elbow or a tissue when you cough or sneeze.

Stay home if you feel unwell.

If you have a fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical attention.

Everyone's seen a photo of how a sneeze spreads in their Health textbook in high school. Gross.

he was so careful to wear his mask between sips of his drink or puffs from his joint when he was alone and outside, but he was fine with being in close proximity with tons of people not wearing masks, talking, laughing, smoking, drinking and dancing with each other while indoors in a tight space?

About the party’s in Spain, do I understand this correctly? The bars are open til midnight ( which I personally think it crazy dangerous that they are open at all ) but it’s not enough that they are open til 12am ? People still need to have private party’s ? That’s madness !

The better we adhere with protocols, the faster te pandemic ends, the earlier we can party... It's not really hard to imagine or think about this.

Young people under 25 yrs old have continuing development of the brain. They don't properly weight the facts; are self centered; have tendency to be overconfident of their poorly formed opinions, have little experience with suffering & death plus do not factually base decisions on real risks of infecting high risk populations, as well as underestimate their own risks.
