I assume your talking about run flat tires that allow you to drive 50 or so miles without air. Personally they’re great for cars without a spare especially if you live in the country. I still hate them because if they go below either 10 or 15 pounds they need to be replaced. They’re also a pain to work with as the side wall is so rigid you need to use special equipment just to install.

I like run flats, but with aftermarket like 20s or 22s then i prefer just reg

I hate the ride of runflats. They are so heavy for the suspension and the rotating mass is just bad for the car. I'd rather a set of good regular tires and take my chances with keeping a spare. for your S550 Coupe buy a donut/spare for a S550 W221 off EBay. then order bolts similar in length to the 2014 MB ML and that will work fine. our S550 bolts are 1.5" too long to seat the tire.

Spare (make sure it has air) Run Flats are very rough on the suspension. Had a ball joint bust 3/4 of the way out the back of the housing.
