Triads are so important! An overlooked concept! Great lesson Chris!

That is so cool !
U can visually see how the lowest pitched note ( first the root, then the 3rd, then the 5th) each move up 1 octave to arrive at the next inversion (3 strings down and either 3 or 2 frets back).
U have to compensate for the B string being tuned to a 3rd instead of a 4th like all the others.
U can ALSO visually see how easy it wud be to transform all of then into minor chords by flattening the 3rd 1 fret.
AND see how to do diminished chords by flattening both the 3rd and the 5th.
AND do augmented chords by sharpening the 5th 1 fret.
GREAT road map !

Can you use these shapes all around the fretboard to make different chord triads ?

Learn 4 triad types (major, minor, augmented, diminished) in 3 inversions (R35, 35R, 5R3), and on 4 string sets (654, 543, 432, 321). - Play F# minor, 2nd inversion, 432 strings!

Theory is so confusing for me🤦🏼‍♂️ I’ve been learning by just playing and I got really good. Now other players are telling me to start learning theory and I’ll be 10 times better but i genuinely just don’t get it. Any tips to help understand?
