Triads always feel so natural when soloing or just playing a line. It's a good go to when coming up with phrases. You have great content as always! 🙌

Thanks Jens ! This video is so powerful. It explains things in a clear and logical fashion. I wonder why I never thought of these concepts myself or why no one else on Youtube explains things so well. I've known heaps about scales, modes and arpeggios for years - but this stuff is 'the key to unlocking the improvisation door !' Wicked !!

Amazing what you can do with just 3-5-7-9. I’ve been doing just that on the first 8 bars of Recordame in the shed lately

I love triads plus enclosures. Although this bears the risk of not playing through the changes but on them.
but it is a good way (for me) to create the bebop sound.

So when the chord changes, do you figure out what the third of that chord is, and play...what?

That melody sounded like one of the Super Mario bros video games
