I just want to say thank you, Justin. I’m 21 and have been struggling with depression and suicidal thoughts for a long time, and it’s been a long while since I’ve felt motivated to get up in the morning and not want to just go to bed as soon as I get home. I bought a second-hand guitar last year as my first instrument ever, but it was just sitting in the case for a long time, and I’d go months without practising due to a lack of general motivation.

Recently, however, I’ve been practising guitar for hours and hours every day. I sit with my guitar on my lap for 4–6 hours, switching back and forth between casually practising whilst watching Netflix or YouTube and following your courses more focused than I’ve ever been.

I’ve been practising every day now for a week, and coupled with my initial bits of occasional practise from before, all thanks to your courses, I can play all the main chords well (except F and B; still struggling with F and haven’t learnt B yet), and I can play a decent number of songs fairly well.

I’m still in the beginner phase, but I practise with the courses and songs on the app every day, and it’s the only thing in my life right now that keeps me going. I’ve tried to pick up hobbies before, from programming to drawing, but I gave up on them. Guitar is the _one_ thing that I am 100% adamant in pursuing and sticking with; and actually having fun with practising. Your courses are the best I’ve come across, and I just wanted to say that I appreciate what you do. 💜

"Look at the point your hand is going to" Simple but amazing tip, I had never thought of this before. Thank you!

I've been playing guitar for more than 30 years and this is such a useful exercise! Learn the triads, learn the grips, this is 1, 000, 000 times more useful than just learning tablature. Thanks Justin 👍

I so love your triad lessons, Justin. I've learned so much from you in a very short time and it has expanded my use of the entire fretboard in a way that I never thought possible. I've gone from a chord based guitarist to a guitarist who can now embellish tunes in a way that I thought I would never do. Thank you!

I started to learn guitar for my own pleasure about 10 years ago when I was 65. I have played at open mic. nights and occasionally have been invited to play along with other bands. I think I need some direction now on how to progress to another level and new techniques and having watched your videos I do enjoy your style of teaching. Thank You Justin.

I’m realizing I can also do this with the D chord shape for different voicings of the major triads. Very cool!!
