Thanks for posting this. Just picked up my guitar yesterday and didn't last too long, but it sure felt good. Sometimes it helps just to know somebody out there went through what I did.

Thanks for posting this, mate! I broke mine two weeks ago, in the middle of a tour, and today after having second cast done i was so frustrated because no one could tell me what to expect when it's off in 3 weeks. Today, with cast off, it hurt like hell and it was pretty tender and useless.

I broke my wrist a week ago and still have to follow up with the orthopedist to figure out my recovery but this gives me a lot of hope. Thank you for sharing and I hope since you posted this video you’ve had more improvement in your fretting hand. Cheers!

Thanks for that. I broke my arm I think in the same place as yours about 6 weeks ago so hoping I can make similar progress and get back to playing at least sometime simple in a few weeks time. You give me hope after such a depressing experience😀

Thanks for posting this video! I slipped on some ice last week and fractured my wrist. I miss playing guitar so much! I'm trying to be patient and I am pre-worrying about the recovery process and how quickly I'll be able to get back to where I was. It's good to see someone who has what sounds like a similar injury to mine getting back to it in an arguably quick time. Thank you!

Dude... I’ve had motorcycle accident and shattered my wrist and had to have surgery and plate put inside. I’m
So disappointed, I only had cast for about 3 days past surgery but man... I can’t even do basic notes, my ring finger does not stretch far enough to skip a fret from index finger... idk how else to stretch it, :( it’s been two months... I’m in tears man every time I pick up a guitar and I can’t even place fingers on frets 😞

Rasmus, a wrist injury changed how I hold the pick. I talk about it on my
channel. I broke the scaphoid bone. I'm determined to get my technique back. Good luck with your wrist .

I'm about to see the surgeon to find out the full extent of a fall that broke my wrist - fretting hand. Not looking forwards to what's to come . Been playing since i was12 in 68 or that's when i began. One thing i do know is you do just what the Dr. tells you to do. This situation sucks but i expect to go through what you have. Thanks for your insight &i hope surgery wont be what i must go through.

I’m devestated about my left hand and wrist. Just got out of cast three days ago. My injuries were worse and I have a long road ahead of me before I can play my baritone ukulele again.

Very useful! They removed my cast 24hrs ago. I've been doing your stretches. I can't play a bar chord in first position to save my life. Just feels like an impossible contortion. Early days, but will keep going.

Sounds familiar, recently broke a bone in my wrist on my fretting hand - playing again is pretty painful. Glad to hear it gets better.

I broke my left hand 3 Month ago about the 3rd time (last time was 3 years ago). It took me 6 weeks after the plaster got of and me beeing in physio therapie once a week untli i could grab the guitar for more then 1min again. So i had a lot of pain.
The week after i broke my hand, i started to play the piano to keep my music practice going. (i always wanted to) When my plaster got of, i had some great exercises for the hand on the piano

Verry importent are dayli wrist exercises, like the physiotherapist showed me. Without those i couldn't sit 5min on the guitar today.

I finally practiced the Guitar for 1 hour today! As I remember from my last broken hand, the more i play the faster it is getting better. But I don't expect my hand do get normal within one year

I just broke my wrist two days ago. I’ve been very worried about playing guitar again after the cast comes off and this video made me feel a lot better. Thanks, I’ll let you know how I’m getting on in 5 or 6 weeks time!

Thanks for making this video. Just the hope I needed. I broke the same bone 4 days ago (distal radius) but mine was more severe. Bone protruded from skin and I required surgery (plates and screws).

I’m terrified I’ll never enjoy guitar again.

Damn dude, thats scary to hear. My second love in life besides guitar is definitely biking and that is also my job. I Do bike delivery for 4-5 hours a day. I just always try and stay alert and be safe. In the 2 years ive been doing it ive definitely had some close calls😳😳

I can't ruin my geetar hands lol

Glad you're getting better man😀

Had surgery for distal radius fracture on left wrist just under 4 weeks ago - plate and pins put in my arm. I expected to have to wear cast or splint for another 3-4 weeks but doctor said i'm healing well and can take the splint off more each day from now on. I have a little less movement than you but tried playing guitar for first time today and couldn't do anything - attempted a bar chord and was nowhere near. Biggest problems are when i try and tilt my hand back it feels like my wrist will break again and i have no strength in my thumb which i use a lot when playing. Can't imagine i'll be doing pushups or giving a left handed thumbs up for awhile either :)
Anyway, good video, nice to see a fellow guitarist back to playing so quickly - hope you make a full recovery soon

I'm struggling to move my wrist up/backwards. My Knuckles are still a little swollen. Guitar playing is a painful process and I can't play a D chord thanks to my middle finger can't bend enough. (Broke base of 3rd Metacarpal 5 wks ago)

No follow ups for me, 😔
