Thank you for sharing. I get my stitches out Wednesday. I was in a roll over accident and ended up with a compound fracture of my wrist. I have rod in my hand and arm that will require another surgery in a couple of months to be removed . I feel for every one of you going through this right now. It’s nice to know that your not alone.

Thank you Mike, your story has helped me after I broke my wrist. When you said that the pain was burning I really could recognize that feeling. I took my stitches yesterday and now only have a bandage. Pain an the burning feeling is still there. Can't move my thumb much. I have been doing the exercises you described in the video sins having the surgery. On Thuesday I start with the FT.

My wrist SX was due to Severe Arthritis. 3 bones removed, the next row was fused. It's been 5 days since my cast was removed. I'm my own PT. YOU, sir, have been (by far) the Greatest video I came across ~ (so much information you explained what happen, A to Z), because, You actually went through this experience. Every area you mentioned, was ME!!! I MAY make bread dough to squeeze/knead (then make buns). But I wanted to tell you, "Thank You".... virtual hug ((❤️)). I am now 1/8 way w/movement... looking forward to 100% Full Motion. EXCELLENT VIDEO! I hope you see this. 👍😊👍😊👍

Thank you for sharing. I just had distal radius surgery last month July. I'm eager to get my full range of motion so I can do push ups again. Looking forward to your follow up video.

Thanks for this video. I go for surgery in two days for the same surgery. Knowing what to expect is helpful. I fell 10 days ago. Will watch part two after Monday.

I fractured my distal radius and ulna styloid. Had ORIF on DR. No pain during daytime. At night all the witches come out and that ulna hurts like a !$#!. Not taking any pain killers. Worked hard on moving those fingers and they are moving normal now.

Thanks for sharing your story. I fractured my left and right radius. I was trimming a large tree and a large branch knocked me off the ladder, about 8 feet high.
Its been two months since surgery on my left arm (July 20). Im going to physical therapy and the swelling is finally beginning to diminish on my left hand. I cannot make a fist though but that is also improving. It has been a slower process than I thought would be. Hopefully return to work on light duty status.

I believe not getting cast sweaty is a key to not itching.. it was, for me. During very hot summer.
Looking forward to more videos on hand and wrist. But I can see by part 2, you're moving much better.

Just discovered you channel. My wrist is one of three different breaks on my body from a car pulling out in front of me on my motorcycle. I’m 5 weeks post surgery, the stiffness is insane, can’t make a fist yet but working on PT 🤙🏻

I just had almost the same surgery on July 1st… I fell on a mountain and broke my radius, ulna, carpals, and my pinky. A plate and 9 screws to put the pieces of my radius back together…it’s definitely the most painful experience I’ve ever endured

I recently had wrist surgery for a fractured displaced scaphoid. My fingers were just like yours. Swollen and hard to bend and painful down into the wrist to move my fingers. Well, i found out that there are no muscles in your fingers. Finger movement is all controlled by muscles in your wrist and forearm. No wonder its hard after a wrist injury! As far as sweating under the cast, it was in the triple digits when i had mine. My arm sweated sitting still!

Micheal when did you start using a silicone scar sheet on your surgical wound? Is it normal to feel some stinging around the wound. It has been over 2 weeks post op. The scar is dry and clean with no signs of infection but it's just this sensitivity that I feel there every now and then.

Nice video. I’m just a little worse off then you. I broke both wrist and fractured my pelvis on 9/19/21 (BMX accident) needed distal radius surgery just like yours on the right. Plate screws the same as yours. Left, just basic fracture no surgery needed. Same for pelvis. My swelling was bad for the first 12 hours. Elevating the wrist helped that. I’m going into my 4th week. Already got my cast replaced with shorter half casts. The surgery wrist actually has a Exos hard brace cast that is removable. Check it out on YouTube it’s amazing. I’m off to watch your part 2 video. 👍👍💪💪
