I need to watch this at least a dozen more times. This was actually penetrating my thick skull. People learn in all kinds of different ways and I think this really sparked some brain cells for me. Thanks Jonathan. :)

My gosh Jonathan, I count my lucky stars that I subscribed to you a while back, After watching your video, , yes, , I do understand and it makes perfect since.. But I also need to comment on your mind blowing arrangement at the beginning of this video. Absolutely beautiful Sir, absolutely beautiful... Your timing is perfect and flawless, and your choice of arrangement is something truly to behold, The music that lives within you and that you are able to bring to us through your playing is such a wonderful gift to listen to. After the first couple seconds of listening and watching, it became mesmerizing both visually and audibly.. My gosh, thank you so much, and again I count my lucky stars to have found your channel.

Jon, I am new to your channel this year. I am glad I found you! I enjoy your playing, and your Harley Benton reviews. This lesson was very helpful and so timely in my own progress. I just started playing chords on a looper pedal and then experimenting with those notes in improvisational soloing. SO MUCH FUN! Bless you Jon!

Big Jon, thanks for this. Totally makes sense. Once applied for a little while helps both rythm and lead. Thanks for this gold nugget.

Great video Jonathan! Thanks for sharing! Keep that instructional content coming! One tip, if you allow me: you mentioned that dynamics is so important, and I agree 100%. So I would suggest you make videos about theory and 'fretboard navigation', but also exercises (perhaps usable licks?) to develop dynamics in our playing. For example: you play certain licks that make my jaw drop (but waaay too fast); it would be great to see that lick slowed down, explained and then left for us to apply against our backing tracks. Like, little drops of knowledge. It would save me the trouble of slowing down your videos to 1/4 speed and spending days figuring them out from a theory perspective (yeah I'm lazy). :) Great playing and great content as usual!
