Hello Dr. Ellie!! I have a tooth with a cavity that's close to the point of a root canal. Dentist gave me some type of antibiotic mouth rinse to do twice a day, but I have already picked up Xylitol and have already felt a difference. Should I continue the antibiotic?

I am not home right now, so I don't recall the exact name of the medication, but I can tell you in an hour!!
