Wikimedia UK is the national chapter for the global Wikimedia movement which supports Wikipedia and its sister sites. This video showcases the work of Wikimedia UK and the community of Wikimedians in the UK as they try to address gender bias and a lack of content on Wikipedia about women.

Over the last few years, many articles have been written about the #GenderGap on Wikipedia, with only a small proportion of Wikipedia editors being female, and less than 1/5th of biographical articles on the English Wikipedia being about women. Wikimedia UK aims to show what we have been doing to tackle this issue, and to encourage more people to get involved in reducing inequality and bias on Wikipedia and the broader internet.

There is no Gender gap, this is pure propaganda.
Wikipedia should be as neutral as possible on the article being published. Adding more women to the site in the name of an ideology is madness.
Men or women should be on Wikipedia if he or she marked historical or present life not just because of gender.
politicising of the Encyclopedia as led me to stop financing it. Hoping the website gets back to reason for their sake and the sake public knowledge, I will support an alternative Encyclopedia in the mean time.
