Something like that "air gesture" thing but with the rear scanner would be awesome.
Nowadays you can use the fingerprint scanner only to drop the notification shade, and a couple other things, like answer calls or browse your galler (on EMUI), but it could do much more.

I'd love to change music by swipping, pause by double tap or long press and even scroll through apps. Why has no one done this yet?

If you have ASUS phones, there is mobile manager - control data usage; where you can control internet via wifi or mobile data. If the app can run offline without affecting the functions of the app you can completely disable the app from accessing internet by unchecking the mobile data and wifi checkboxes. By doing that the app can no longer access the internet even when you're connected, it also disables ads.
