Hey guys, I just want to put my opinion out there, and please don’t scream at me if you think it is wrong. When given the choice of a Valve Index or a modded Quest, I tried both headsets and chose the Quest. Weird, right? I even have a PC that could run the Index in games with all Ultra settings. Well I chose it because of it’s soon-to-come Link cable and the ability to stream. It is modded to be more comfortable and I consider the experience better than the Index, for two reasons. One, cable less VR is awesome, and two, I have a massive basement that I can use for VR. I travel a lot, and I think it is an awesome headset. However, a reason I didn’t like the Index, which may not apply to you, is the comfort. It may just be my head shape, but my eyes got tired and it pushed on my face harder than the Quest. If this helps anyone, awesome, but if these are things only I think, please tell me without freaking out at me.

RiftS would have been a no-brainer for me if it had not been for the fixed IPD, big mistake on part of oculus there.

Been on a fence of getting into VR myself too, and with all of these vids discussing more in depth about the difference between quest and rift s, I've pretty much got the confidence now in my decision to get the rift s for christmas.

Great video! I'm gearing up to enter the PCVR world. Based on my personal situation, and preferences, I had decided on the Rift S after much deliberation. This video reinforced that decision, and I am just waiting for the Black Friday deal to go live before pulling the trigger.
