Could you repeat this using a slightly older sewing machine? You know the type with the spool standing straight up rather than on its side, and the little "pelican?" Not everyone has the most up to date machine like you seem to have. Thx.

Hi Rob,
Can you do something that helps us along with choosing threads for different projects and why chose those threads thank you cheers.

Also a piece of white paper or fabric behind the needle's eye helps you to thread the needle after brushing your wet (licked?) finger behind the needle's eye.

Thanks Rob, very helpful, like knowing the pressure foot trick when threading through that area. I like that the thread can be held in place while threading the rest of the machine.

Hi Rob, I love your videos!
Did anyone ever tell you that you sound just like Ty Pennington? The guy from Extreme Home Makeover?
My daughter and I are always saying that when I watch your videos!
Keep up the good work, you are making awesome quilts and you have amazing great tips :)

In this video, you have your spool cap on "backwards" (maybe mine is backwards?)  I've always seen the smooth side of the spool cap facing out, away from the spool, but it appears that you've put the smooth side toward the spool instead.  Which way is right?  Does it really matter?
