Recovering & Rediscovering Your Lost Inner Child

We come into this world with innate self-worth, soft-wired for accepting nurture and attachment. When this process is interrupted by unhelpful parenting, it is further compromised by the child adjusting their behavior to seek safety from any further wounding. Attachment is disrupted, and the child suppresses their natural development of their unique persona. The child is then lost to adaptive behaviors. In adulthood, this loss of our Inner Child leads to suffering, as well as a loss of self-identification, into our subconscious mind, that is then suppressed by addictive behaviors; for example, workaholism. This video aims to explore this process, as well as beginning to understand how we can bring our subconscious identity into consciousness, recovering and rediscovering our lost Child.

Fantastic video, Steve. I think that self compassion is key to being able to open up the door to the subconscious mind, if there's no self compassion, we lock up firmly and find toxic comfort in the negative self belief cycle.

the pain can be too much at this time in my life. I worked hard pushing passed the problems. I'm worn down now. Thank you for this.
