This Is What a Homeowner Got After Paying Hundreds of Thousands

Показать описание
A homeowner paid hundreds of thousands for their dream home in Canberra. What they got instead left us stunned.
This video captures the full independent inspection we carried out, revealing major construction defects, design breaches, and serious questions about compliance with the Building Act 2004.
We’re not here to speculate. We’re here to show you what was found, what was missed, and why this needs to be addressed.
UPDATE: OFFICIAL STOP NOTICE ISSUED BY ACT GOVERNMENT
Following the inspection conducted by Site Inspections Pty Ltd and our published video, the ACT Government has now issued an official STOP NOTICE against the builder responsible for the development at Block 5 Section 96, Taylor ACT.
Key Enforcement Actions Taken:
• Contravention of Section 42 – Building Act 2004 (ACT):
Building work was carried out not in accordance with the approved plans.
• Non-compliance escalated under Section 50:
The appointed certifier notified the ACT Construction Occupations Registrar that the project advanced without meeting inspection conditions.
• Enforcement under Section 53:
The Rapid Regulatory Response Team (RRRT) has officially prohibited all building work on the site.
• Building Approval Expired (BA No. B20221772):
As of 01/05/2025, there is no valid BA, no appointed certifier, and no licensed builder for this project.
• Multiple non-compliances identified:
As confirmed in the Site Inspections report dated 18/04/2025, the build contains significant defects and is incomplete against original approvals and the Building Code of Australia.
ACT Government Statement:
“Carrying out building work in contravention of Section 42 is an offence under Section 51 of the Building Act 2004. Failure to comply may result in regulatory action.”
This is what happens when homeowners fight back.
This is what accountability looks like. 👍
