www.BuilderBrigade .com/Social

It is important to know the location of the septic cleanout and water shutoff valves for maintenance and safety purposes. Additionally, if a homeowner plans on building something in the future, it is recommended to move the pipes to a location that will not be disturbed for the life of the home to avoid costly repairs and potential safety hazards.

Also make sure they PUT IN the clean out. Some homes get passed through inspection without one.

PRO TIP: Don't plant what will become a huge tree, right on top of your water line.

First thing i showed my wife & kids when we moved in is where the water shutoff valve is. The most important shutoff in the house.

Run a tracer wire with your water line, irrigation and septic!! These are private utilities and 811 will not mark them!

Home owners should be informed of a house was previously septic. I’ve had a couple of issue with drainage where items have gotten stick on the transition from the old septic to the sewer lines.
