Did you put the raw potatoes in cold cooking oil on purpose? That causes the potatoes to soak up a terrifying amount of oil. Just wondering why you didn't bring the oil to temp first. Was that intentional?

Yeah, tried the salt and dark chocolate ones once and they were good. Also tried dried wasabi dust and dark chocolate fries and they were nice too.

Yes!!! It's that salty/sweet together taste. Growing up we'd always dip our French fries in DQ chocolate malts! Yum! 😊

The big mistake you did is to add the fries into cold oil. That will make the fries absorb it.
