Jay Shetty talks to Zachary Levi about radical love. We all grew up with some form of trauma. Some have come to terms with it and managed to move on, find new beginnings, and live better lives. Some are still struggling because their past is entangled with their present and is now limiting them mentally, socially, and emotionally. Talking to someone about these unpleasant feelings is the first step to healing. But taking the first step, for some, remains to be a difficult move.

Zachary Levi is one of the most versatile actors in Hollywood with critically acclaimed roles in TV, Film, and on Broadway. HIs career catapulted as the lead and fan favorite, Chuck Bartowski, in the hit NBC series, Chuck. Zachary demonstrated his range as a Tony Award Nominee for Best Actor in a Musical in She Loves Me. His impressive vocals landed him a leading role in the Disney Academy Award nominated (Best Original Song) animated musical, Tangled.

Omg, what a beautiful podcast. This is the type of world and life I want to live in. A place where unconditional love is the key. Where people are seen as divine beings in spite of their traumas. Where true compassion is applied to help people heal. We’ve all missed the mark but there’s room for understanding, not hating the person but hating the act. I believe we’re slowly getting there this podcast is a sign for better days to come.

This is SO GREAT! I totally agree: it’s not “excusing”, it’s “explaining”. To feel empathy allows us to heal.

Love the passion and love Zachary gave. You can tell he was so sincere and he has been through a lot but he only wants to helps others through his life experiences and journey. I agreed with all he said dead on and that is just real transparency.

I'm dealing with my own stuff and it takes alot to stay strong during those times. I am going to go seek a Therapist soon as I get some things situated. Appreciate everyone for their thoughts and comments. Wish you all many blessings and that you continue to have faith, love and peace.

"Faithfulness tends to be a one-sided expectation for many believers. They expect God's faithfulness in their lives, but reciprocating faithfulness back to Him is not often portrayed or demonstrated genuinely..

'His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord, ' (Matthew 25:23).

Many Christians claim to be faithful to the "work of God, " but can't see that their faithfulness is really to the work they choose to do for God, not necessarily the work He desires to do through them, to fulfill His will.

There is a great divide in where faithfulness lies among many believers in the Body of Christ. Some are faithful to their service to people above their service to God. How can you really love and serve God without considering what He desires? Without considering His will and His expected outcome? Being faithful to God should not be second place to anything else in our lives!! Without Him, we are completely nothing.. Walking with Him should be first! Seeking Him should be first! Loving Him should be first!! Only then will we truly be able to be faithful to the infamous quoted scripture, 'thy will be done!'

Faithfulness is not just about what we receive from God, but it is how we serve and give back to Him..!"

“Being humble does not mean that you are depressed, but that you are humbling yourself for the sake of others. You reduce yourself from your original position just to bless somebody else. That’s not easy, when the flesh is full of pride, because pride desires promotion, to be seen, and to show off. Humility is the opposite. Humility teaches you to voluntarily abase yourself.”

~David E. Taylor~

“...he that shall humble himself shall be exalted” (Matthew 23:12)

As a survivor, I have a really hard time figuring out how to apply this to repeat offending rapists. For a long time I survived by seeing them as actual monsters. Because if they are normal humans than it feels like that multiplies the likelihood of being re-victimized exponentially. I am learning... but It is really hard.

You always have to be willing to turn and face whatever you're hiding from if you want to grow and move forward. Even just shining the light on those dark parts of your mind takes away a lot of their power over you.
