1:10 Tip if you’ve had your appendix removed

In this video, we’re going to talk about the real function of the appendix. The appendix is a 2 to 4-inch tube that extends off of the large intestine, close to where it meets the small intestine.

The appendix is composed of lymphatic tissue, so it produces antibodies and white blood cells that help your body fight infection. The main function of the appendix is to act as a reservoir for good bacteria for the purpose of repopulating the colon after damage from things like diarrhea or antibiotics.

Sometimes the appendix can become infected—this is known as appendicitis. Poor diet and excessive sugar consumption can cause appendicitis.

If you’ve had your appendix removed, you may have developed scar tissue in your right lower abdomen. This can sometimes affect the nerves of the right leg, causing right knee pain. Massaging the right lower abdomen can improve this pain.

My lovely Dr removed my appendix while he was performing a hysterectomy on me. He announced that to me after the fact as if I should give him a bonus. I thanked him for leaving my heart and lungs.

Wow. Mind. Blown. I had my appendix removed and I sometimes have pain above my right knee. I thought it was because of sciatica, but what you said makes sense. 😞

I had my appendix removed when I was 15 yrs old, and have suffered from right knee pain for years...I would have never thought one had to do with the other. Thank you for the info Dr Berg, I will be trying the massage.

Wow, thank you for that info. Because I lost my appendix just over 2 years ago, I was searching utube and I came across you. I didn't feel good even after my surgery, and I have been on Keto, the healthy veggies, etc. and now I am a health coach in training. Because, of you Dr. Berg I now can help myself and others, if they would only listen. I am 5ft 4 and weigh 94 lbs, but I feel great. I am going on 59 this January and people have mistaken me to be in my early 40.s. My skin is the first thing they notice.

Everything we have in our bodies is there for a purpose. I wonder what purpose do wisdom teeth have, because dentists insist they're useless. I have 3 of those removed already at my dentist's recommendation, but I'm not sure I did the right thing.

Thank you so much for this video Dr Berg, I had a uterine surgery 19 years ago and they just decided to remove my appendix to "avoid future problems" and I have all kind of problems and also right knee pain...due to that surgery.

Mine was removed when I was 15. Life is hell without it. Sauerkraut, lard, organic honey and intermittent fasting help a LOT!

So I'm not one to normally comment but.. can I just say this guy amazes me. I like to learn and am constantly researching everything and anything that pops into mind..but..to be honest.. I never know who to trust. There's something about Dr. Berg that seems genuine and kind. I imagine he's helped a lot of people.

When my diet was bad and never exercise my appendix was good. But when i went on keto diet, exercise and really change my diet even to the point that everything would eat has to be organic. Cut on sugar and carbs. Then i get a damn appendicitis! Why!?

I had my appendix removed about 14-15 years ago. Since then I have become very lethargic, and have been diagnosed with Hypergonadotropic hypergonadism, fibromyalgia. I have battled to lose weight but since my wife found Dr Berg, I can see light at the end of a dark tunnel. I take apple cider vinegar, have cut out sugars and take L Glutamine. The weight is slowly starting to come off. I do also have right knee joint pain, especially when walking upstairs. I will be trying this. Thank you

Thank So much for keeping us all well informed. Dispit the fact that doctor always insisted that the appendix had no significant value, I always knew it did.

Thanks for this valuable piece of information, which is mostly ignored even by physicians. For those of us who have removed their appendix and currently suffer from all sorts of gastric and digestive issues, what can we do to rectify? Knowing that I take probiotics daily without too much of an effect. Thanks

I guess those who had their appendix removed should add more probiotics to their diet, sauerkraut, kimchi, kefir, etc..
